It happens to many as we age, and I am one who feels the pain!

Walk, walk, and walk while eating right. This I must do!

Time is not always kind as we age,

And I’m not the guy I used to be.

For this band I wear upon my wrist,

Is shrinking me just a bit each day.

A slave I am to this silly band,

For my doctor had these words to say,

“You can’t continue eating this way,

For if you do, my scales you will break.”

Now, each day I walk, and walk some more,

Wishing to make those pounds go away.

I have to become more Fit you see,

And this tiny Bit will bring the change.

Many steps I have to take each day

To be less of what I used to be.

This band on my wrist keeps prodding me,

Get up off your rear you lazy man!

I guess ole man Frost got it so right,

“But I have promises to keep, and

Miles to go before I sleep, …sleep”

So, walk I will, each and every day!
